1. About Yakka Sport
Yakka Sport is operated by Yakka Sport Pty Ltd (ABN 48 699 830 316), located at 11/36 Ramsgate Avenue, Bondi NSW 2026, Australia.
Yakka Sport provides three main services:
- Yakka Sport App: An online platform connecting sporting organisations with coaches, referees, volunteers and other sports professionals.
- Yakka Sport Recruitment: A recruitment service where Yakka Sport sources, screens and introduces suitable candidates to organisations.
- Yakka Sport Workforce: A staffing service where Yakka Sport employs professionals and supplies their services to client organisations.
Yakka Sport may also connect users with third-party suppliers and service providers.
For App-based recruitment, Yakka Sport generally acts as an intermediary and is not the employer of professionals hired directly by organisations.
For Yakka Sport Workforce, Yakka Sport may act as the legal employer under a separate written agreement.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By registering, accessing or using Yakka Sport services, users agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy:
https://yakkasport.com.au/privacy-policy
Users who do not agree must discontinue using the services.
Yakka Sport may update these Terms with reasonable notice. Material changes affecting existing paid services will be communicated to affected customers and will not apply retrospectively unless permitted by law or agreed.
Separate service agreements may apply to Recruitment and Workforce services. Where there is a conflict, the signed service agreement takes priority for that service.

- Provide accurate and current registration information.
- Have the legal right to work in Australia where applicable.

Only Annual Premium includes full searchable database access, subject to candidate privacy settings, consent and applicable privacy law.
Prices are in Australian dollars. Yakka Sport is not registered for GST and prices do not include GST.
Subscriptions begin on the date of successful payment or activation, as specified at checkout.
Subscriptions do not automatically renew unless automatic renewal is clearly disclosed and expressly authorised at checkout.
6. Fair Use Policy — Job Advertisements
Yakka Sport offers unlimited job advertisements to support organisations with ongoing recruitment needs.
However, unlimited access does not permit spam, duplicate advertising or activities intended to manipulate job visibility.
The following rules apply:
6.1 Duplicate Advertisements
Organisations may not publish multiple active advertisements for substantially the same role, location and employment conditions.
6.2 Reposting Restrictions
An organisation must not delete and repost substantially the same vacancy within 30 days solely to move it to the top of the job listings.
A genuinely new vacancy may be advertised separately where there is a legitimate recruitment need.
6.3 Editing Advertisements
Editing an existing advertisement does not reset its original publication date or automatically return it to the top of the listings.
6.4 Multiple Genuine Vacancies
Organisations may advertise multiple legitimate positions, including different locations, schedules, roles or recruitment requirements.
Where several identical positions are available at the same location, Yakka Sport may require them to be combined into one advertisement indicating the number of vacancies.
6.5 Automated Activity
Bots, automated reposting, misleading advertisements and attempts to manipulate search rankings are prohibited.
6.6 Enforcement
Yakka Sport may remove duplicate listings, limit posting activity, request verification or suspend accounts where there is reasonable evidence of abuse.
Where appropriate, organisations will receive notice and an opportunity to correct the issue.
Yakka Sport may introduce reasonable technical controls to enforce this policy.
7. Employer Responsibilities
Organisations advertising vacancies are responsible for:
- Providing accurate job descriptions, locations and pay information.
- Ensuring advertised pay and conditions comply with applicable employment laws.
- Verifying candidates' qualifications and work rights.
- Conducting appropriate background and safeguarding checks.
- Providing a safe working environment.
- Complying with employment, tax, superannuation and workplace safety obligations.
- Paying professionals in accordance with their agreed employment arrangements.
Yakka Sport does not guarantee that advertisements will receive applications or result in a successful hire.
Employers may contact and hire applicants directly under their purchased App plan. No additional recruitment success fee applies unless they have separately engaged Yakka Sport's managed Recruitment service.
8. Professional Responsibilities
Professionals must provide accurate information about their qualifications, experience, availability and employment eligibility.
They must maintain any licences, Working With Children Checks or other approvals legally required for their roles.
Registering on Yakka Sport does not automatically create an employment relationship with Yakka Sport.
A professional's status as an employee, contractor or volunteer depends on their actual engagement and applicable law.
PART B — YAKKA SPORT RECRUITMENT
9. Recruitment Service
Yakka Sport offers a managed recruitment service for organisations seeking coaches, referees and other sports professionals.
This service may include:
- Advertising and promoting vacancies.
- Searching for suitable candidates.
- Reviewing qualifications and experience.
- Screening and shortlisting candidates.
- Coordinating introductions, interviews or trials.
- Providing replacement support under the selected package.
Yakka Sport does not guarantee that a suitable candidate will be available or that a recruitment process will result in a hire.
10. Recruitment Packages and Pricing
| Package | Shortlist Fee | Hire Fee | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Recruit Essential — 3-month guarantee | $99 | $250 | $349 |
| Recruit Plus — 6-month guarantee | $99 | $430 | $529 |
| Recruit Pro — 9-month guarantee | $99 | $690 | $789 |
| Recruit Elite — 12-month guarantee | $99 | $900 | $999 |
All prices are in AUD. Yakka Sport is not registered for GST and prices do not include GST.
10.1 Shortlist Fee
The $99 shortlist fee is payable when the client engages Yakka Sport to provide a shortlist under a selected recruitment package.
The fee covers initial recruitment and shortlisting work and access to contact details for up to three suitable candidates.
Yakka Sport will only share candidate contact details where permitted by applicable privacy law and the candidate's consent or other lawful basis.
10.2 Hire Fee
The remaining hire fee becomes payable when a candidate introduced by Yakka Sport accepts an offer of employment or engagement from the client.
The fee applies whether the candidate is engaged on a casual, part-time, full-time or contractor basis.
The fee is triggered by acceptance of the offer, not the candidate's first working day.
10.3 Confirmation of Hiring
Clients must notify Yakka Sport in writing within 48 hours of a candidate accepting an offer.
Notification must include:
- Candidate's name.
- Date the offer was accepted.
- Agreed or expected employment start date.
- Position being filled.
Yakka Sport may request reasonable supporting evidence of the accepted offer, subject to privacy and confidentiality requirements.
10.4 Direct Hiring of Introduced Candidates
If a client hires or engages a candidate introduced through Yakka Sport Recruitment within six months of the original introduction, the applicable hire fee remains payable.
This includes engagement through an associated business or another arrangement where the client has facilitated the hire.
The client is not required to pay a second fee where the relevant hire fee has already been paid.
This provision does not apply where the client can reasonably demonstrate that it had an existing active recruitment relationship with the candidate before Yakka Sport's introduction and disclosed this promptly.
10.5 Payment Terms
The shortlist fee is payable upfront.
The remaining hire fee is charged automatically on the same day the hire is confirmed, using the payment method saved when the shortlist was unlocked. If the charge fails, the client receives a payment link to complete payment.
Failure to notify Yakka Sport of a hire does not remove the obligation to pay an applicable fee.
11. Additional Shortlists
The initial $99 fee includes one shortlist of up to three suitable candidates.
If none of the initial candidates is suitable or available, Yakka Sport will provide one additional shortlist of up to three candidates at no additional shortlist fee, subject to candidate availability and the original agreed role requirements.
Further shortlists may be requested for $99 each, subject to agreement before work begins.
A shortlist does not guarantee that every candidate will accept an interview, trial or employment offer.
Material changes to the role, location, pay or required qualifications may require a new recruitment engagement and fee, agreed in advance.
12. Replacement Guarantee
Each recruitment package includes a limited replacement guarantee:
- Recruit Essential: 3 months.
- Recruit Plus: 6 months.
- Recruit Pro: 9 months.
- Recruit Elite: 12 months.
12.1 Guarantee Start Date
The guarantee begins on the date the candidate accepts the client's employment or engagement offer, as confirmed in writing.
The acceptance date is the reference date for calculating the guarantee period, regardless of when the candidate starts working.
Where the acceptance date is disputed, contemporaneous written records will be used to establish it.
12.2 Delayed Start Dates
The guarantee period continues from the accepted-offer date even where the employee starts working later.
Clients should therefore consider the intended start date before confirming a hire.
12.3 What the Guarantee Covers
If the hired professional voluntarily leaves the role or is dismissed for substantiated performance or misconduct reasons during the guarantee period, Yakka Sport will undertake one replacement recruitment process without an additional shortlist or hire fee.
The replacement must be for substantially the same role and employment conditions.
12.4 One Replacement Only
Each recruitment package includes a maximum of one replacement recruitment process.
If the replacement professional also leaves, no further free replacement is provided.
12.5 Remaining Guarantee Period
The original guarantee period does not restart when a replacement is hired.
Any replacement is covered only for the remaining period of the original guarantee, and the one-replacement limit continues to apply.
12.6 Conditions
To request a replacement, the client must:
- Have paid all applicable recruitment fees.
- Notify Yakka Sport in writing within seven calendar days of the original professional leaving.
- Provide reasonable evidence of the departure and its circumstances.
- Maintain substantially the same position, location, pay and working conditions.
- Cooperate reasonably with the replacement recruitment process.
12.7 Exclusions
The replacement guarantee does not apply where the departure is substantially caused by:
- Redundancy or the client no longer requiring the role.
- Material reductions in pay, hours or agreed benefits.
- Significant changes to the position or workplace without the professional's agreement.
- Unsafe or unlawful working conditions.
- Unlawful dismissal or conduct by the client.
- The client ending a fixed-term engagement on its agreed completion date.
Other circumstances will be assessed reasonably against the agreed role requirements and applicable law.
12.8 Candidate Availability
Yakka Sport will make reasonable efforts to source suitable replacement candidates but cannot guarantee that a replacement will be found within a specific timeframe.
The guarantee covers recruitment services, not wages, operational losses or the financial consequences of an employee leaving.
If Yakka Sport cannot source a suitable replacement after reasonable efforts, the parties will discuss an appropriate resolution, subject to applicable consumer guarantees and other legal rights.
PART C — YAKKA SPORT WORKFORCE
13. Workforce Service

- Initial employee administration.
The establishment fee is paid when the employee's engagement begins, through a Stripe payment link.
14.2 Ongoing Service Fee
Yakka Sport charges a service fee of 12% of the employee's gross wages.
Gross wages include ordinary wages, overtime, penalties, allowances and other wage payments where applicable, but exclude employer superannuation contributions and separately charged on-costs.
14.3 Employment Costs
Clients are responsible for the agreed costs associated with supplying employees, including:
- Gross wages.
- Applicable employer superannuation contributions.
- Workers' compensation insurance costs.

- Other agreed employment-related expenses.
- Yakka Sport's 12% service fee.
Any allocation or recovery of these costs must comply with applicable law and be clearly specified in the Workforce Service Agreement.
14.4 Pricing Example
A coach earns $35 per hour and works 20 hours per week.
| Item | Amount |
|---|---|
| Gross weekly wages | $700 |
| Yakka Sport service fee (12%) | $84 |
| Weekly subtotal | $784 |
| Superannuation, insurance and other applicable costs | Additional |
| One-off establishment fee | $99 |
The example is indicative only and excludes applicable additional employment costs. GST does not apply.
15. Workforce Payments and Invoicing
Yakka Sport invoices clients fortnightly.
Invoices are payable within seven calendar days unless otherwise agreed.
Clients must verify and approve employee timesheets promptly, within the timeframe specified in their agreement.
Where timesheets are not disputed within the agreed period, Yakka Sport may invoice based on verified work records, subject to correction of genuine errors.
Yakka Sport remains responsible for paying its employees in accordance with applicable employment law, regardless of whether a client has paid an invoice.
Overdue invoices may result in suspension of future staffing services after reasonable notice, subject to existing employment obligations and applicable law.
Yakka Sport may require a deposit, prepayment or credit assessment before commencing an engagement.

Requests to end assignments or change staffing arrangements must follow the notice and payment provisions of the relevant Workforce Service Agreement.
17. Workforce Insurance and Legal Compliance
Yakka Sport Workforce will only operate where all required insurance, registrations, employment arrangements and licences are in place.
This includes confirming:
- Applicable workers' compensation coverage.
- Appropriate public liability and other required insurance.

18. Workforce Cancellations and Ending Assignments
Clients must provide the notice required by their Workforce Service Agreement when cancelling shifts or ending an assignment.
The client remains responsible for applicable charges arising from confirmed shifts, lawful minimum engagements, required notice, accrued entitlements and other agreed costs.
Any cancellation charges must be reasonable, transparent and consistent with applicable law.
Ending a client assignment does not automatically terminate an employee's employment with Yakka Sport.
PART D — GENERAL CONDITIONS
19. Payments, Refunds and Consumer Rights
Payments through the App may be processed by Stripe or another authorised payment provider.
Clients must provide valid payment information and authorise applicable charges.
Refunds, credits and cancellations will be assessed in accordance with the purchased service, applicable agreements and Australian law.
Unless otherwise agreed:
- Used job advertisements are not ordinarily refundable merely because no applications are received.
- Subscription refunds are not automatically available for a change of mind.
- Recruitment shortlist fees cover services performed and are not automatically refundable merely because a hire is not made.
- Workforce establishment fees cover agreed setup work.
These conditions do not exclude refunds, remedies or other rights required by Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.

25. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
Users should contact Yakka Sport in writing if they have a complaint or dispute.
Yakka Sport will seek to investigate complaints and respond within a reasonable timeframe.
